Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
FreePortal ("we", "our", "us") operates freeportal.net. We are the data controller for any personal data described in this policy.
Contact: [email protected]
This policy explains what we process, why, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights. It is written to describe the site as it actually operates today: as a static informational resource served through Cloudflare, with cookieless analytics and advertising that is currently pending Google AdSense approval.
2. Information We Process
We do not ask for your name, email address, or payment details to read the site. We do not operate a user account system, we do not accept comments or uploads, and we do not maintain a first-party database of visitor information.
The following limited categories are processed as a necessary part of serving the site:
- Technical request data processed by Cloudflare: to route requests, serve pages, and protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or user agent. According to Cloudflare, source IP addresses are received at the nearest data centre for request handling and then discarded; they are not stored in core analytics logs.
- Aggregated analytics data: page views, referrers, and performance metrics, used solely to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. Cloudflare retains dashboard access to this aggregated data for approximately six months.
- Advertising identifiers (once AdSense is active): when advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies. This is described in Sections 5–6 below.
We treat IP addresses as personal data where they are processed. We do not claim that Cloudflare’s processing is invisible to data-protection law; we rely on Cloudflare’s role as our hosting and security provider and on the limited, aggregated nature of the analytics we receive.
3. How We Use Information
- Operating and securing the site, including abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
- Understanding aggregate traffic patterns so we can improve pages.
- Delivering advertising through Google AdSense once the account is approved, including personalised advertising where you have consented or where permitted by law.
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests.
4. Legal Bases (EEA and UK)
- Legitimate interests — for site security, fraud prevention, and the limited technical processing needed to serve the site. The site is a static informational resource; the processing is limited, predictable, and necessary to deliver the pages you requested.
- Consent — for any non-essential cookies, including advertising cookies once AdSense is active. Where consent is required, it will be obtained through a consent mechanism before non-essential cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time via the consent banner or your browser settings.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose specific records.
We do not carry out systematic monitoring of individuals, large-scale profiling, or processing of special-category data. Our processing is limited to operating an informational directory.
5. Third-Party Services and Transfers
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security, and cookieless analytics): Cloudflare processes request data to serve and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or user agent. Aggregated analytics are retained for approximately six months.
- Google AdSense (pending approval): once advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads and at aboutads.info/choices.
These providers are predominantly based in the United States. Where personal data from the EEA or UK is transferred, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate supplementary measures. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguard by emailing us.
We do not control these providers' independent processing. Please review their privacy policies for details.
6. Cookies and Consent
We use the following categories:
- Essential (session): required for basic functionality and security. These do not require consent.
- Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. No analytics cookie is set by the site. If Cloudflare’s analytics changes in the future to use cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.
- Advertising (once AdSense is active): set by Google and its partners to deliver and measure ads. These may persist for up to 13 months, and longer in some configurations, as determined by each provider.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland: where personalised advertising is served, Google requires publishers to use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, a consent mechanism will be presented. You can change or withdraw consent at any time through that mechanism.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
7. Data Retention
- Cloudflare request and security logs: retained by Cloudflare under its default configuration and service terms. We do not separately store server logs beyond what Cloudflare’s standard services retain.
- Cloudflare aggregated analytics: dashboard access for approximately six months.
- Advertising data (once AdSense is active): retained by each provider under its own policy.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. Because we do not maintain a first-party visitor database, we may need to ask you for information that helps us identify any data that could relate to you; in many cases, we will be able to confirm that we hold no identifiable records.
EEA and UK: you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to resolve the issue first — please contact us before escalating.
California: if the CCPA/CPRA applies to us, you have the rights described in that law, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. Because we do not sell personal information for money and do not maintain a first-party database of California consumers, we do not operate a separate “Do Not Sell” webform. If you believe the CCPA applies and wish to make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond as required.
9. Children
The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the applicable digital age of consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Do Not Track
We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because there is no agreed technical standard for interpreting them. We do honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable and where our advertising configuration supports it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Where a change affects consent-based processing — for example, when AdSense is approved and advertising cookies begin to be set — we will update this policy and, where required, re-request consent.
12. Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests: [email protected].
